Purpose and legal basis of data processing
When you visit our website, data processing takes place on various occasions and some personal data is collected automatically (e.g. by opening our website), while some personal data is actively made available to us in order to contact us (e.g. by filling out a contact form). Set out below, we have categorised these different processes and explain the purpose and the legal basis of data processing:
In general, when you visit our website:
When you visit our website, the provider automatically collects, stores and transmits so-called server log files to us. These contain the following information: Your IP address, browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL (the page from which you came to our site), host name of the accessing computer, date and time of the server request, amount of data transferred and the requesting provider (access data).
The aforementioned data processing serves to ensure effective and convenient use of our website, to ensure trouble-free operation of the website and to improve the administration of the website.
The basis for the processing of these data is Article 6 para. 1 lit. 1 (f) GDPR. The processing is based on our legitimate interests in a correct and up-to-date presentation of our offer, which interests predominate within the scope of a balancing of interests. We do not merge this data with other data sources.
Generally your access data is only stored for 7 days.
As part of the processing, a third party service provider with whom we have concluded an order processing agreement provides us with hosting and website presentation services. Taking different interests into account, this serves to protect our legitimate prevailing interest in the optimal marketing of our products and services. All data collected in connection with the use of this website is processed on the service provider’s servers. This service provider has its registered office outside a country of the European Union for which no adequacy decision of the European Union exists. Cooperation is therefore based on standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that are stored by the browser on your computer. They do not contain malware such as viruses or Trojans. Cookies serve to increase the user-friendliness and functionality of the website visited. For example, they may contain information about the screen resolution used or, if this has been permitted, identify the visitor when visiting the website again. This means, for example, that settings do not always have to be adjusted again each time the user visits our website.
As a visitor to our website, you can control the use of cookies by adjusting the cookie settings in the browser you are using. For example, you can generally allow, generally exclude, make the use of cookies dependent on the respective website or always be notified and then agree or decline in each individual case before a cookie is to be stored. However, if cookies are not allowed, certain functionalities of the website may not be available or may not be fully available. The use of cookies is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest as operator of the website lies in the optimized and error-free provision of our services.
We also use cookies from third parties (e.g. Google Analytics) on our website. You will find more information on this later in this data protection policy.
If you contact us:
If you contact us via one of our contact forms or by email, e.g. for information requests, media advice, technical support, warranty registration or for downloading applications, we store the personal data provided by you in this connection for the purpose of processing your request, fulfilling a contract, carrying out pre-contractual measures, enabling our free service offer (e.g. media advice) or for sending interesting offers and information on our products by post. Mandatory fields are marked as such. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective contact form.
The legal basis for data processing is Article 6 para. 1 lit. b and f of the GDPR. Any further processing or forwarding of personal data from your contact will only take place with your consent pursuant to Article 6 para. 1 lit. a of the GDPR. You can revoke your consent with future effect at any time. All you need to do is send an email to the above address of the data protection officer. This shall not affect the legality of the processing carried out up to that point.
The stored data will be deleted either automatically if the processing purpose has ceased and there are no reasons for further storage, or if you revoke your consent to storage or request deletion, for example by email to the above address of the data protection officer, and if no other statutory provisions, e.g. retention periods pursuant to commercial or tax law requirements, prevent the deletion.
For job offers and online applications:
If you wish to view our job offers via our website and/or apply for a job online, you will be redirected to a third party website outside the EU via a hyperlink, as our online application process takes place centrally via this portal. Please read the data protection regulations of the website to which you will be directed for job offers and online applications before submitting any personal information.
If you agree to receive our newsletter and current offers:
When you subscribe to our newsletter and receive current offers, we store the personal data you provide and use it to send you regular information about our products, services, projects, publications and range-related general information by email. This is done on the basis of your consent pursuant to Article 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a of the GDPR. For registration we collect your first and last name, company, address and country as well as your email address. We need this information to send you information by email that we consider to be of interest to you as an existing or potential commercial customer.
Cancellation Right
You can withdraw your consent to receive our newsletter and current offers at any time with effect for the future pursuant to Article 7 para. 3 of the GDPR. You will find a corresponding note with link to unsubscribe at the end of our email. Or simply send us an email with the subject “Unsubscribe newsletter” to the above address of our data protection officer.
Consents are valid until revoked. After your revocation, we will delete your personal data unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or there is another legal reason for its storage (e.g. performance of a contract or legitimate interest outside the sending of our newsletter).
Consents to receive our newsletter and current offers are recorded in order to be able to prove these pursuant to the legal requirements. This includes the time of consent, the IP address used, the personal data provided by you and the text of the data protection policy brought to your attention in this context.
The newsletter is sent within the framework that this is a processing on our behalf by a service provider to whom we pass on your email address for this purpose. For this purpose, we have concluded a contract for order processing. This service provider has its registered office outside a country of the European Union for which no adequacy decision of the European Union exists. Cooperation is therefore based on standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

Analysis and advertising tools
The following data processing in connection with analysis and advertising tools takes place – insofar as we do not refer separately to another legal basis – on the basis of our legitimate interests in a meaningful analysis of the user behavior of our website visitors in order to optimize the website itself and the associated advertising. This is done on the basis of Art. 6 1 lit. f of the GDPR.
Facebook Pixel
Our website uses the function of the “visitor action pixel” of Facebook. This feature is provided by Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. (“Facebook”). In this context, Facebook servers are accessed in the USA. Facebook utilizes standard contract clauses, relies on the European Commission’s adequacy decisions about certain countries, as applicable, and obtains consent for data transfers to the United States and other countries. Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service. These are operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. (“Google”). In this context, Google servers are accessed in the USA. Google also complies with certain legal frameworks relating to the transfer of data, such as the European Union (EU)-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Frameworks. In order to effectively implement the strict European data protection requirements, we have concluded an order processing agreement with Google.
Google Analytics uses cookies, i.e. small text files that are stored by the browser on your computer. Cookies serve to increase the user-friendliness and functionality of the website visited. When IP addresses are processed by Google Analytics, they are made anonymous. This means that these are usually reduced before a transmission outside the EU or the European Economic Area (EEA) and in exceptional cases immediately after the transmission there. This anonymized data is used for the purpose of analyzing the use of this website and providing other services in connection with this website. The collected data will not be merged with other data held by Google.
You can also prevent the storage of cookies used by Google and the processing of personal data by Google Analytics by installing a corresponding browser add-on from Google, which you can download from the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Regardless of the setting options of your browser used, it is also possible to declare your objection to the use of cookies for online marketing purposes to the participating services on the following pages:
https://www.aboutads.info/choices/
https://www.youronlinechoices.com/
Detailed information on the function of Google Analytics can be found in the provider’s security and data protection principles under the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245.
Google Analytics uses the “demographic features” function on this website. This allows conclusions to be drawn about the age, gender or interests of website users from visit data of third party providers and from interest-related advertising played out by Google. However, these conclusions cannot be assigned to a specific individual. Like the other functions of Google Analytics, you can deactivate this functionality as described above.
Google AdSense
Our website uses functions of the Google AdSense service to integrate advertisements.
Google AdSense uses cookies, i.e. small text files that are stored by the browser on your computer. Google AdSense also uses so-called web beacons. These are small, invisible graphics that make it possible to evaluate visitor traffic on the website. The information collected in this way on the use of this website and the advertising displayed on it as well as the IP address used are transmitted to Google servers in the USA and can be passed on by Google to contractual partners. The IP address sent by your browser will not be connected with other data from Google.
You can disable the functionality described here by Google AdSense by following the disabling actions described in the Google Analytics section above.
Google Analytics Remarketing
Our website uses functions of the Google Analytics service to integrate advertisements.
The aim of this functionality is to link the information collected by the services Google Analytics, Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick to the corresponding target groups for the device-independent display of interest-related and personal advertising messages. If you have given Google your consent to this, Google will link your usage and surfing behavior on different devices with your Google account for this purpose. Google also temporarily links users’ internal identifiers to data from this feature to create cross-device advertising target groups. You can disable the device-independent playout of personalized advertising in your Google account by following this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.
The data collected under your Google account is linked exclusively on the basis of your consent, which can be revoked at any time in the future pursuant to Article 6 para. 1 lit. a of the GDPR. If you have not given Google permission, do not have a Google account or are not logged in, the so-called remarketing cookie is set by Google, which automatically uses a pseudonym CookieID and enables interest-based advertising based on the pages you have visited. This is based on Article 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest as the operator of the website lies in the anonymized analysis of the user behavior of our page visitors in order to optimize the associated advertising.
Detailed information can be found in Google’s privacy policy at the following address: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Google AdWords
Our website uses conversion tracking functions of the Google AdWords service.
If a user clicks on an ad provided by Google, the browser stores a cookie on the computer. This small text file is automatically deleted after a period of time set by Google. During this period, Google and the website operator can use the cookie to track how many users clicked on a particular ad and were redirected to a corresponding page. This cookie does not personally identify or track users.
You can disable the conversion tracking functionality described here by Google AdWords by taking the appropriate steps to disable cookies as described in the Google Analytics section above. Detailed information about this feature can be found in Google’s privacy policy at the following address: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Google reCAPTCHA
Our website uses Google reCAPTCHA. This service is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google also complies with certain legal frameworks relating to the transfer of data, such as the European Union (EU)-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Frameworks. In order to effectively implement the strict European data protection requirements, we have concluded an order processing agreement with Google.
The purpose of this function is to avoid automated data entry on our website. Google reCAPTCHA analyses the behavior of the website visitor using various features such as mouse movements and time spent on the page to distinguish whether the current visitor is a human being or a machine. For this purpose, information is transferred without further separate instructions. This tells Google that our website has been accessed using your IP address.
This data processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR. As the operator of the website, we have a legitimate interest in preventing the misuse and spying out of our offers through automated input. You can find Google’s current privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Detailed information about Google reCAPTCHA can be found at the following address: https://www.google.com/recaptcha.
Other plug-ins
The following data processing in connection with social media plug-ins is carried out on the basis of our overriding legitimate interests in an optimal presentation of our offer pursuant to Article 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR.
Google Web Fonts
Our website uses Google Web Fonts.
The purpose is the uniform presentation of our website. To do this, the corresponding fonts from Google servers are loaded into the cache of your web browser. This tells Google that our website has been accessed using your IP address. If you cannot use Google Web Fonts, your computer will use standard fonts. This can change the appearance of the website. You can find Google’s current privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. For more information about Google Web Fonts, please visit https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq.
YouTube
Our website uses functions of the video platform YouTube. This service is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google guarantees compliance with an appropriate level of data protection by participating in the Privacy Shield program. In order to effectively implement the strict European data protection requirements, we have concluded an order processing agreement with Google.
When you access a page with embedded content from YouTube, data is transferred to Google servers in the United States. This tells Google that our website has been accessed using your IP address. If you are logged in during your visit to our site, Google may associate that visit directly with your personal Google account. If you are logged in to your Google account, you can limit personalised advertising at https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated. You can find Google’s current privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Pursuant to Article 15 of GDPR, you can request information from us as to whether your personal data is processed by us. In particular, you may obtain information about (i) the purposes of processing, (ii) the category of personal data, (iii) the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, (iv) the planned storage period, (v) the existence of a right to correction, deletion, restriction of processing or objection, (vi) the existence of a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, (vii) the origin of your data, if this has not been collected by us, and requires the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, where appropriate, meaningful information about its detail.
Correction
Pursuant to Article 16 of GDPR, you may immediately request the correction of incorrect or complete personal data stored by us.
Deletion
Pursuant to Article 17 GDPR, you can request the immediate deletion of your personal data stored by us. We are obliged to delete personal data including if (i) it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it is being processed, (ii) there is no legal basis for the processing, (iii) you have objected to the processing and if there are no overriding legitimate reasons for the processing, (iv) the personal data was being processed unlawfully or (v) the deletion is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation.
Restriction
Pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR, you have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data where one of the following applies: (i) the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, (ii) the processing is unlawful, yet you reject its deletion, (iii) we no longer need the data, but you still need the data to assert, exercise or defend legal claims, or (iii) you have objected to processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR.

We will no longer process your personal data after your objection, unless we can prove compelling grounds for processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims. If an objection relates to the processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes, it will no longer be processed for these purposes.
Right to file complaints with regulatory authorities
Pursuant to Article 77 GDPR any data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in the country of such individual’s habitual residence or place of work, or of the believed breach of the GDPR. A list of the data protection supervisory authorities can be found at https://ec.europa.eu/newsroom/article29/item-detail.cfm?item_id=612080
Data security
For security reasons, our website uses the TLS encryption protocol, also known as SSL. The activated encryption of a connection is indicated by a lock symbol in the address line of the browser and by the address starting with https://quicklabel.com. The activated encryption serves to protect transmitted data from unauthorized access by third parties.
We also use suitable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously updated according to technological developments. Nevertheless, we would like to point out that despite various measures, security gaps can always occur during data transmission on the Internet and absolute protection of personal data from access by unauthorized third parties is not possible.
Sharing of data
Personal data will only be transferred by us if you have given your consent, if this is necessary to process your inquiry, to fulfill a contract or to carry out pre-contractual measures or because of our legitimate interests (e.g. to integrate an order data processor), which predominate within the scope of a weighing of interests. In this respect, data processing is based on Article 6 para. 1 a, b and f GDPR. If you have given us your consent and this is necessary for the processing of your inquiry, for example, because you have addressed a question with a foreign reference to us, we may transmit your personal data to our sales partners abroad. These distribution partners with whom we have concluded a contract for order processing may have their registered office outside a country of the European Union for which no decision on appropriateness or privacy standards has been taken by the European Union. Transfer of personal data in this case is based on standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
Third party websites
Our website may contain hyperlinks to and from third party websites. If you follow a hyperlink to one of these websites, please note that we cannot assume any responsibility or guarantee for third-party content or data protection conditions. Please read the privacy policy of the respective website before submitting personal data.
